Hero bike prices in India begin at ₹49,999, making it one of the most affordable motorcycle brands in the country. Hero currently offers 23 models, with the most popular ones being the Xtreme 125R, Splendor Plus, and Xtreme 250R. Upcoming Hero motorcycles include the Xpulse 421, Mavrick 440 Scrambler, and Karizma XMR 250. The most premium model, the Mavrick 440, is priced at ₹1,99,500 (ex-showroom).

Hero MotoCorp holds the distinction of being the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer and India’s highest-selling motorcycle brand, commanding over 40% of the domestic market. Founded by Brijmohan Lall Munjal in partnership with Honda, the brand gained massive popularity under the Hero Honda name until the collaboration ended in 2010.

Today, Hero MotoCorp operates six manufacturing plants across India, with a state-of-the-art R&D facility in Kukas, Rajasthan. This center features advanced testing tracks that replicate real-world road conditions, helping the brand design bikes that suit Indian and international markets.

Once associated with entry-level bikes, Hero has successfully ventured into performance-oriented segments. The Mavrick 440 is currently its most powerful offering, while the revamped Karizma boasts a modern liquid-cooled engine. Despite these advances, models like Splendor and Passion Pro continue to generate the majority of sales.

Hero is also expanding in the EV space with its Vida electric scooters and holds a stake in Ather Energy. Strategic alliances with Harley-Davidson and Zero Motorcycles reflect Hero’s commitment to innovation and global growth in the two-wheeler industry.
